What is the best time to come to New Zealand?
Summer is December thru March and Winter is May thru August. Anytime is good here its your choice , winter time is nice with all the
snow on the Alps. Four seasons in one day is possible in New Zealand at anytime of year.
 
How long should I stay?
Five days should be the minimum with 7 to 10 days being the best.
 
Are the 4wd adventures suitable for all people?
Minimum age is  12 years old and is suitable to all adventurous people who are fully mobile. It is not suitable for people with back problems or persons disabled in anyway.
 
Do I need any special clothing for these adventures?
You need to bring 2 or 3 sets of outdoor clothing either to suit winter or summer climate depending on when you visit.
A rain jacket and warm jumper all year round. A pair of waterproof outdoor boots is recommended. We will supply rubber gumboots if needed for muddy conditions.
 
Are these 4wd Adventures dangerous?
Any outdoor activity does have some risk, while we keep these risks to a minimum , you must be aware there is always a chance that accidents can happen.
 
Do you spend all the time in the backcountry?
No we don't , we travel on normal sealed roads and visit some nice historic towns , we go "off" road as required to have some fun and see the sights in the backcountry.
 
Will I get anytime for shopping?
Yes,we can stop at various places for you to browse the local shops.
 
What is the accommodation like?
This will depending on your budget from deluxe motels to exclusive superior lodges.
 
What is the food like?
New Zealand can offer some top quality fresh food to suit all needs. All meals are included in the package ,you choose what you want.
 
What sort of four wheel drives do you use?
We mainly use Toyota Land Cruisers which are well prepared and are carrying suitable recovery gear for these trips.
The trucks have radios to communicate with each other.   Although don't expect a polished shinny truck. Due to the nature of the terrain we visit we do have scratches and minor dents on the vehicles.
 
Is there a minimum and maximum number of people allowed?
The minimum is 2 people and a maximum of 4 per trip. We can take just one person but we have to take 2 vehicles due to the
terrain for safety reasons so there would be a surcharge for that person.
 
What happens if a vehicle breaks down?
Every effort will be made to repair that vehicle immediately , if this is not possible another vehicle will be provided.
 
You say excusive tours , dose that mean we can expect confidentiality?
Yes you will , we pride ourselves on just that , no matter who you are, a business tycoon , a movie star or anybody you will get total
confidentiality guaranteed.

What about voltage rating?
The household voltage runs on 240 Volts AC. You can bring voltage conversion adapter or transformer. Most laptop computer power adapters have a conversion built in already.

Do I need a Passport and Visa to enter New Zealand?
You need a Passport and Visa to enter the country. However, New Zealand and the United States have a Visa waiver agreement. Certain restrictions apply. Check the New Zealand Embassy to get more information.

Prices start at  $595 USD per day per person plus your Airfare. We recommend Air New Zealand as they fly direct to Christchurch from USA.
